James P. Cravens, Chairman of the Board

James has worked for the bank and the community since 1974. A graduate of the University of Wyoming and the Graduate School of Banking, he serves as the bank’s Chairman of the Board. His responsibilities include the bank’s long term planning and insuring the bank continues to meet the needs of the community and it’s customers. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of United Community Bank of Milford, Iowa.

Tim Devitt, President

Tim has been with Sanborn Savings Bank since 1992 and became President in 2018. Before joining Sanborn Savings Bank, he graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Ag Business in 1987 and from the Graduate School of Banking in 1992. Currently, Tim is a member of the Sanborn Electric and Telecommunications Utility Revolving Loan Fund, and a member of the O’Brien County Economic Development Corporation Revolving Loan Fund. He has served on the Sanborn City Council in addition to other community organizations over the years. Tim also began serving as President of the United Community Bank, Milford, in 2023.

Nancy Van Dyke, Cashier

Nancy specializes in new accounts and other personal banking products including checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and HSAs. She joined the Sanborn Savings Bank team in 1992 and has worked in all areas of banking. Nancy is a member of the Sanborn First Reformed Church.

Joshua Rydberg, Senior Vice President

Josh specializes in all types of lending, ranging from Ag and Commercial to Residential Real Estate and Consumer Loans. A graduate of Northwestern College in Business Management, he joined the Sanborn Savings Bank team in 2008. He is an active member of the Sanborn Christian Reformed Church.

Ashley Jorgensen, Loan Secretary

Ashley is a 2008 graduate of Northwestern College in Business Administration. Ashley joined the Sanborn Savings Bank team in 2011 and works part-time in the loan department.

Sharla Back, Operations Officer

Sharla is responsible for the operations, IT, credit card program, and marketing for the bank. She earned her AAS degree in Accounting before starting at Sanborn Savings Bank in 2001. She has worked in many departments of the bank. Sharla has served on many school, church, and community boards and committees over the years. Sharla is a member of Sunnybrook Community Church.

Mackenzie Jenness, Vice President

Mackenzie joined our Sanborn Savings Bank team in 2015 and specializes in Residential Real Estate and Consumer Lending. She graduated from Buena Vista University in 2011 with a degree in Business Administration, completed the IBA Consumer Credit School in 2018, and completed the IBA/ISU Ag Credit School in 2024. She currently serves on the Sanborn Development board, Prairie View Retirement Home board, and serves as the Treasurer for the Sanborn Chamber of Commerce.

Sally Smith, Loan Secretary

Sally joined the Sanborn Savings Bank team in 2017 and specializes in processing loans. Sally is a 2008 graduate of Northwest Iowa Community College with an AAS Degree in Office Management. Sally is a member of the Sanborn First Reformed Church.

Kailey Enger, Customer Service Representative

Kailey is a teller/customer service representative at Sanborn Savings Bank. Kailey graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2017. She joined the Sanborn Savings Bank team in 2021.

Bradyn Jungers, Bookkeeper/Customer Service Representative

Bradyn is a bookkeeper/customer service representative. He joined Sanborn Savings Bank in 2021. He graduated in 2020 from Northwest Iowa Community College with an AAS Degree in Business Administration.

Hope Bates, Personal Banker

Hope is a personal banker. She joined Sanborn Savings Bank in 2024.
